1st Annual Boots & Blessings Barn Dance

WOW! The small idea of having a fun barn dance with great food, country music, and dancing turned into a wonderful night celebrating the life of Haley and the work we do at The Haley Rasco Foundation.

We are so thankful to the almost 200 people who came out to celebrate with us. With a packed house, I had the honor of sharing all about Haley, our family’s journey, and God’s redemption through it all. The atmosphere in that barn was nothing short of electric—the lively music, the joyful dancing, and the heartfelt conversations, all coming together as a powerful testament to the community supporting our mission.

I am overwhelmed with gratitude to share that we were able to raise $47,000 that will go directly to the patients we serve!

There are still days when I find myself in awe that God has given me the opportunity to share Haley’s story and carry forward her incredible legacy of JOY. Even now, more than three and a half years later, I meet people at Texas Children’s who remember her. And every time, I pause and think, She was only three years old—how could she have touched so many lives so deeply?

But that’s the beauty of Haley’s impact. God has woven her joy and spirit into the hearts of others in a way that continues to shine through the years.

To my dedicated staff, Brittany Ishmael, Amy Nobles, Rebecca Hutchinson, and Miranda Lippman, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this night possible—thank you. Your dedication and hard work turned our vision into reality.

A heartfelt thank you to our sponsors—Compass Energy Systems, The Stein Family, and The Wier Family. Your generous support played a key role in making this evening so special.

To everyone who donated—your kindness and generosity empower us to carry out our mission of supporting pediatric hospital patients, ensuring they experience Moments of Joy during their stay.

To all our guests who joined in the dancing, participated in the auction, took part in our Whiskey and Wine pull, or simply enjoyed the evening—your support means everything to our foundation.

We are incredibly grateful to the vendors who helped make the night a success:

  • Shay Domann and his band, featuring an incredible fiddle, kept the energy high and the dance floor packed with great country music.

  • Majestic Oaks provided the perfect venue, creating an authentic "Barn Dance" atmosphere.

  • Tejas BBQ treated our guests to some of the best barbecue in Texas.

  • Gold Party Pics added to the fun with their photo booth.

  • True Joy & Co designed a stunning balloon wall and photo opportunity that added to the evening’s charm.

This weekend, we got to celebrate God’s glory in Haley’s journey and the opportunity we have to be the hands and feet of Jesus by serving patients just like her. This is only the beginning. With each step, each event, and each act of kindness, we are building something truly special.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for believing in our mission and for being part of this unforgettable night. Until next year—keep your boots ready and your hearts open.

With gratitude,
Heather Rasco
Executive Director, The Haley Rasco Foundation
